About Us

What we do

We are, first and foremost, consultants. That means we help our clients solve their business problems. Often, our contribution is in the form of programming, or technical writing, or training. Other times it's a feasibility study to help map out a path the client can follow. These days people ask us for advice about Web Services, XML, .NET, and related technologies. We're following the latest developments for our clients and breaking new ground in this exciting wave of technology development.

Our history and people

Gregory Consulting was founded in 1986 as a software development and consulting firm. We've been on the Internet since 1989; one of our founding partners, Kate Gregory, is a reknowned speaker and writer, and our chief mentor with almost 30 years of programming experience. Our other founding partner, Brian Gregory, has over three decades of programming experience and handles our programming contracts and much of our general consulting. Our full time associates are (in the order they joined us):

• Joyce MacDonald - web page creator with strengths in web page design and XSLT, our Quality Officer and office administrator
• Lisa Blight - web page creator with strengths in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSLT, ASP.NET and accessibility issues, junior software developer and office administrator
• Kyle Dunn - Senior Developer with 15 years programming expertise with strengths in software development using VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, OOA, OOD, OOP and SQL Server Reporting Services

Some clients

We are doing a wide variety of programming and scripting work for Exploration Link and their clients. We developed LCMS, a hybrid Windows-web application, for Loyalist Certification Services, and are a Vendor of Record for the Ontario Government. You might find our Portfolio of interest. Where we are

Our office is in rural Ontario, Canada.  We get into Toronto when we need to -- and Toronto has an airport that can get us anywhere.

Our Internet presence

We conduct essentially all our business over the Internet, even the non-Internet programming contracts we still take on. We use the Internet to find clients and employees, keep our skills up to date, discover time saving tools, communicate with clients and associates, deliver our services, and tell people about ourselves.
