When you go to a conference, there's a tendency to see nothing beyond the airport, your hotel, and the convention centre. Maybe a few nice restaurants if you're lucky enough to be invited to a press dinner or the like. The minute I got off the plane a year ago for Tech Ed Africa, I knew I wasn't going to have that kind of experience. And this year Julie and I have upped the ante by taking advantage of the Gametrackers services offered right from within the resort where the conference is being held. I took over 40 pictures this morning, here are just a few:

Wish you were here?

It's kind of strange not being at TechEd Africa this year, after having attended the last 5.

Be sure to let your American colleagues know about us and how much fun they'll have by coming out to our TechEd.

Hi Kate, meeting and hagning out with you guys were AWESOME. Who knows, hopefully I'll be able to do some talks up there and see that part of the world.

PS - Next time, you seriously need more time to see more of this cool place ;)

It was fantastic to meet you guys in person, and I'm _really_ upset that I had to leave early and miss the talks :-<. Thank you so much for coming out to our end of the planet, especially considering the distance. Please come back again next year!!

P.S. - I definitely second Ernst's comment. Once you've made it to S.A., it's really worthwhile seeing a bit more of our awesome country.

Wow - so they actually do have all those wild animals in there, eh? Those movies weren't fooling us after all :-D
