Chili with Dehydrated Hamburger

1 1/2 cups dried or 1 cup dehydrated kidney beans
1 1/2 cups Dehydrated hamburger
1 large onion Chopped
1 can dehydrated tomato paste
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1 Tbsp curry powder
1Tbsp cumin
1 Tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 cup dried apples chopped
1 green pepper chopped or 1/2 cup dehydrated green pepper
2 Tbsp oil
8 cups of water

Presoak the dry beans the night before. In the morning either carry them in a pot in the bottom of the canoe or drain them and carry them in a plastic bottle or bag. Cover beans with 2 inches or about 4 cups of water.  Bring to a boil and simmer about one hour. If using dehydrated beans simply combine all dehydrated ingredients in water. Meanwhile sauté chopped onion green pepper, and dried apple in oil.  Then add salt, tomato paste, hamburger, and other 4 cups water onion , green pepper mixture. Bring to a boil and simmer about 20 minutes. Set aside and add to cooked kidney beans. heat and serve. Add more water during cooking if necessary.
